Spiritwood Stockyards is now Closed! Spiritwood Stockyards is located near the town of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan, a bustling community of 1,000 people at the junction of Highway 3 & 24. We have regular sales scheduled every Wednesday. We have a friendly staff that help to make our operation one of the best in the region.
Vision/Goals
At Spiritwood Stockyards we are dedicated to the marketing of your livestock from start to finish. We are available to discuss any questions you may have with the marketing of your livestock. Our weekly show penning is designed to highlight the quality of your herd through our sorting and sale process. With our show penning the quality of your herd is not lost in the group because only your cattle are grouped in pens and sold accordingly.
Animal health is a strong focus at Spiritwood Stockyards. Livestock are sorted and weighed quickly and efficiently so that they can be penned in a low stress environment allowing them to get back to eating, drinking and looking good for the sale. Our focus on animal health continues after the sale as livestock are placed back in feed and water pens until they are shipped out to their new home.
History
Spiritwood Stockyards was built in 1972. It was a partnership by three Prince Albert, SK livestock order buyers Reg Nelson, George Beilhartz and Don Anderson bringing a much needed business to the area. Spiritwood Stockyards provides an outlet for the demand of high quality cattle that are produced by our savvy livestock producers whose business is the cattle industry.
What we do
Weekly Live Auctions: At Spiritwood Stockyards are main focus is to facilitate a weekly live auction environment in which all varieties of livestock are sold to our full line of livestock buyers.
Specialty Sales: Along with our regular weekly sales we also host a variety of specialty sales during the year. Bred Cow and Replacement Heifer sales, Horse and Tack sales, Bull Sales, 4-H Beef and Sheep Sale.Give us a call if your interested in having a specialty sale with us.
Livestock Processing: At Spiritwood Stockyards we are committed to helping out buyers and sellers with any of their processing needs. Tagging, Branding, Vaccinations, Animal Health.
Order Buying: Looking to purchase livestock for your operation? Give us a call to discuss your needs and let us handle purchasing the livestock through the sale. We will arrange purchase and delivery of the livestock to your operation.
Livestock Equipment: New to Spiritwood Stockyards in 2018, we now sell a variety of livestock related equipment. Round bale feeders, Heavy duty and medium duty panels, wind break panels, feeders and much more.
Farm Machinery Sales: Annual on-site farm machinery consignment auction.
